According to the information, a citizen named Zh.I. approached the Lenin District Internal Affairs Department, reporting the theft of her mobile phone.
The incident took place on February 5, 2026, around 5:30 PM, when the complainant boarded bus No. 135 at the Osh market. Upon arriving at Lavanovsky Street, she discovered that her iPhone 16 Pro was missing.
In connection with this incident, a criminal case was initiated under Article 205 ("Theft") of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
As a result of operational activities, employees of the Main Department of Internal Affairs detained A.A., who had previous convictions and was registered as a pickpocket. The suspect was taken to the investigative department of the Lenin District Internal Affairs and, in accordance with Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, was placed in a temporary detention facility.
The Lenin District Court decided to impose a preventive measure in the form of detention for a period of two months in the pre-trial detention center No. 1 in Bishkek.
During the investigation, it was revealed that the previously stolen phone was sold by the suspect at the Osh market. During searches at mobile phone sales locations, more than 60 devices were seized, including the complainant's phone.
