The State Security Service of Kyrgyzstan stopped the actions of a citizen from another country who was attempting to recruit youth for the creation of secret religious groups. The foreigner was banned from re-entering the country after his deportation.
According to the State Committee for National Security (GKNB), this individual had recently arrived in Kyrgyzstan and began spreading radical ideas among the youth.
The agency also emphasized the need for foreigners to comply with the laws of the Kyrgyz Republic and the prohibition of missionary activities without registration with the appropriate authorities.
The ban applies not only to religious preaching but also to its conduct through media, social networks, mobile applications, and other digital platforms.
The GKNB stressed that non-compliance with legislation in the field of religion may result in both criminal and administrative liability.
