In Talas, a Ministry of Internal Affairs employee has been detained on suspicion of fraud involving the funds of a Turkish citizen. This was reported by the press service of the GKNB.
As investigators found out, in April 2025, the operative officer of the SVR of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Talas region, E.M.A., took possession of the sum of $35,500 by gaining the trust of Turkish citizen H.K.
According to the case materials, E.M.A. proposed to the foreign investor an idea for planting and cultivating valuable herbaceous plants of the genus "Solanum," the cost of 1 kg of seeds being $3,000. After receiving the money, he disappeared with it.
In October 2025, H.K. filed a complaint with the Ministry of Internal Affairs requesting an investigation into the actions of the police officer; however, without conducting the necessary checks and investigative actions, the investigative authorities refused to initiate a criminal case.
On January 27, 2026, the Turkish citizen turned to the GKNB, after which the case materials were transferred to the investigative authorities of the prosecutor's office.
On February 24, 2026, E.M.A. was arrested in accordance with Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic and placed in the temporary detention facility of the Talas Internal Affairs Directorate.
