
In the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, law enforcement agencies have detained a man suspected of committing fraudulent actions related to obtaining driver's licenses. This was reported by the press service of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of Bishkek.
According to information received by the police, on December 11, 2025, a citizen approached them, stating that in the "Kok-Zhar" area, a person he barely knew, named A.K., offered his services. He promised to help with obtaining a driver's license, after which the victim handed him 120,000 soms.
In connection with the incident, a criminal case was opened under part 2 of article 209 (Fraud) of the Criminal Code.
Employees of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of Bishkek detained the suspect named B.M., born in 1998, who was placed in a temporary detention facility.
The investigative authorities believe that the detainee may be involved in at least six similar cases of fraud.
