According to the investigation, from October 2020 to February 2024, a 43-year-old citizen, U.T., managed to gain the trust of the victim and, under the pretext of formalizing a deal for the purchase of an apartment in the "Nova City" residential complex located on M. Gorky Street, received $284,267 from him. To date, these funds have not been returned.

In connection with this incident, a criminal case has been initiated under part 4 of Article 209 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, which pertains to fraud.
The suspect was detained on February 12, 2026, and taken to the investigative authorities. In accordance with Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code, he has been placed in a temporary detention facility.
Investigative measures are ongoing, and a check is being conducted for possible connections between the detainee and other similar fraud cases.
