A suspect in extortion has been detained in Bishkek

On January 19, a citizen named B.D. approached the Internal Affairs Department of the Oktobersky District of Bishkek with an official statement. He reported that unknown individuals, threatening him, attempted to extort 150,000 Russian rubles, citing a non-existent debt of his partner. This information was provided by the press service of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of the capital.

As a result of the report, a criminal case was initiated under Article 208, Part 1 "Extortion" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.

During operational investigative measures, the identity of the suspect was established - he turned out to be 29-year-old Ch.T. He was caught in the act while receiving 80,000 soms, which he extorted from the victim.

After the arrest, Ch.T. was taken to the investigative department of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Oktobersky District and, in accordance with Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code, was placed in the temporary detention facility of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of Bishkek.

Currently, investigative actions in this case are ongoing.
