Promised to Obtain Driver's Licenses: A Suspect in a Series of Frauds Detained in Bishkek

On December 25, 2025, a written statement was received at the Department of Internal Affairs of the Oktyabrsky District of Bishkek from a citizen named O.U.

The applicant reported that on December 11, 2025, in the Kok-Jar area of Bishkek, a stranger who introduced himself as A.K. deceitfully took his money. He assured O.U. of his ability to help obtain a driver's license and thus received 120,000 soms. To date, the promises have not been fulfilled, and the money has not been returned.

A criminal case has been initiated regarding this incident under Article 209, Part 2 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, concerning fraud.

Employees of the Investigation Department of the Bishkek City Police, conducting investigative and operational activities, detained the suspect B.M., born in 1998. He was taken to the investigative department and, in accordance with Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, placed in the temporary detention facility of the Bishkek City Police.

During the investigative actions, B.M.'s involvement in six cases of fraud was established. Currently, activities are ongoing to determine his possible connection to other similar crimes.
