On January 14, a landslide occurred in the village of Sharkyritma, located in the rural district of Ilai-Talaa in the Kara-Kulja district of the Osh region. Specialists from the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic have been dispatched to the scene to gather information about the incident.
The field team includes the deputy head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for the Osh region, the head of the district emergency department, three experts from the Department of Monitoring and Forecasting of Emergencies, one officer, and a representative from the local rural council.
Currently, work is underway to assess the volume of the mass that has descended, as well as to analyze the level of threat and other aspects of this event.
