A serviceman shot himself in the head with his service weapon
According to the State Penitentiary Service, the incident occurred the day before at 15:25. The serviceman, named A.A.N., born in 2007, was serving in the 5th security battalion located in the village of Bai-Munduz in the Bazar-Korgon district. He shot himself with his service pistol while on duty at correctional facility No. 10.
Unfortunately, A.A.N. died at the scene from the injuries sustained.
High-ranking representatives of the State Penitentiary Service, including the deputy chairman and head of the security and escort department, Kurmanbek Sokeev, as well as heads of relevant services, have arrived at the scene. Officers from the district police department and the military prosecutor's office are also present.
