According to police information, around 11:35, the duty station of the Internal Affairs Department of the Jayil District received a signal from the 112 service about a fire involving a large vehicle on the 141st kilometer of the Bishkek - Osh highway.
An investigative operational group immediately departed for the scene to clarify the circumstances.
Preliminary data showed that the owner of the MAN truck is a citizen O.K., born in 1981, who was engaged in private transportation of petroleum products.
On January 23, he received an order for the transportation of lubricants (AI-92 gasoline) from one of the local enterprises involved in oil refining. The driver was appointed as citizen K.A., born in 1989.
On January 25 at 11:20, K.A. was transporting 28 tons of petroleum products to the city of Osh. O.K. was also in the vehicle's cabin.
While driving, the truck's front left wheel burst, leading to a loss of control by the driver, and the vehicle veered into the oncoming lane, after which it overturned. As a result, a fire broke out, and the truck was completely burned, with both individuals dying at the scene.
The bodies of the victims were delivered to the morgue of the Jayil District Hospital, and forensic examinations were appointed. The investigation is ongoing.
According to the Main Department of Internal Affairs, the fire did not harm the environment, as no leaks were recorded — all flammable materials burned on the spot.
