World Champion in Freestyle Wrestling from Japan Conducts Master Class in Kyrgyzstan

A master class was held in Kyrgyzstan by the reigning world champion in freestyle wrestling, 23-year-old Yessinousuke Aoyagi from Japan. According to the federation of this sport, the event took place on February 11 in the capital of the country, Bishkek.

Aoyagi, who won a bronze medal at the Asian Championship in Astana this year, also became the silver medalist at the tournament in Bishkek in 2024. In the same year, he achieved success at the World Championship in Albania.

At the World Championship in 2025, which took place in Zagreb, the Japanese wrestler delivered an outstanding performance, winning a gold medal in the under 70-kilogram category. During this tournament, he defeated Kyrgyz wrestler Ernazar Akmataliev in the round of 16.

Aoyagi will continue his performances by participating in an international tournament in Bishkek on February 13.
