During the event, the city's mayor, Aibek Junushaliev, along with representatives from various city services, contracting companies, and the director of the State Agency for Sports, discussed the current state of the facility with the head of the Pervomaisky District. They addressed issues related to the modernization and further reconstruction of the Sports Palace.
One of the key aspects of the discussion was the necessity to develop a functional and modern concept for updating the building that takes into account the needs of local residents. The mayor noted that the Koghomkul Sports Palace is a historically significant facility, and its architectural style should be preserved during the renovation work.
Participants in the meeting were tasked with preparing a design concept as soon as possible and accelerating the development of the sketch project, as well as organizing the phased implementation of all works. An important step was the decision to prioritize the construction of a swimming pool, which will significantly expand opportunities for the development of water sports and improve access to sports infrastructure for the capital's residents.
Upon completion of the field event, responsible services were instructed to work on issues related to preserving the original appearance of the Sports Palace and to expedite its reconstruction process.
