Young athlete from Bishkek wins silver at international boxing tournament in Thailand

The silver medal was won by Arvaz Akhmadi, a student of the martial arts sports school, at the World Boxing Futures Cup tournament, which took place on March 15 in Bangkok, Thailand. According to the press service of the Bishkek city hall, the boxer competed in the weight category up to 70 kg, where 40 athletes participated.

Arvaz began his journey in the tournament from the 1/16 finals and confidently advanced to the finals, winning four consecutive victories. He defeated opponents from the Czech Republic, Hungary, England, and China. In the final match, his opponent was the Kazakhstani Bibarys Ashyrbay, and after three rounds, the judges awarded the victory to Ashyrbay by a split decision.

Thus, Arvaz Akhmadi took second place in the tournament, which is a significant achievement for representing Kyrgyzstan on the international stage.
