Umar Orusbaev won silver at the Youth World Cup

Athlete from Kyrgyzstan Umar Orusbaev won second place at the Youth World Boxing Cup held in Montenegro.

The tournament, titled "Pearl of the Adriatic," featured boxers aged 19 and under and concluded on March 11 in Budva.

Orusbaev competed in the weight category up to 60 kg with 16 participants.

He achieved three consecutive victories over athletes from Estonia, Ukraine, and Sweden, which allowed him to reach the final.

In the decisive match on March 11, the Kyrgyzstani faced a boxer from Kazakhstan. After three rounds, the judges' decision favored the Kazakh athlete.

Thus, Umar Orusbaev took second place and won a silver medal.

In addition to him, bronze medals in their weight categories were awarded to Mukhamadali Kanybekov (up to 50 kg), Kutmanbai Muratov (up to 70 kg), and Iskandar Rasulzhanov (up to 80 kg).
