In this competition, the four best wrestlers in each of the five Olympic weight categories will compete: 57 kg, 65 kg, 74 kg, 86 kg, and 97 kg.
Mongolia will be represented in the 65 kg category by Tulga Tömör-Ochir, who is a silver and bronze medalist at world championships, as well as a two-time silver medalist at Asian championships.
Among his opponents in this weight category:
- Abasgaji Magomedov (Russia), who won gold and silver at world championships and has twice become European champion;
- Ruslan Abdullaev (Azerbaijan), silver medalist at the U23 World Youth Championship;
- Bilol Sharip (Kyrgyzstan), champion of the "Yashar Dogu" tournament, as well as a two-time bronze medalist and two-time champion of the Asian Cup among U23 juniors.
The draw will determine the pairs for the semifinals. The winners of the semifinal matches will advance to the final, while the losers will compete for bronze medals.
