The ceremony took place at the Shaken Zhorobekov Cultural House, where the district akim Ruslan Aitbaev, representatives of various institutions and organizations, as well as the athlete's relatives and young boxers were present.
The festive event included a concert program, and in the second part of the celebration, there was a meeting with young athletes at the district sports school. During this interaction, Ikhtiyar Nishanov and his coach Kenjebek Musakunov conducted a master class for young boxers and shared valuable experiences.
Ikhtiyar Nishanov represents the national team of Kyrgyzstan. In 2025, at the World Boxing Championship (IBA World Boxing Championships) held in Dubai (UAE), he won a bronze medal in the weight category up to 71 kg, reaching the semifinals. Unfortunately, in that match, he lost to a boxer from Kazakhstan, thus taking third place.
Thus, Nishanov became the second boxer from Kyrgyzstan to be awarded a medal at the World Championship.
The athlete was born on March 1, 2003, in the Ala-Buka district of the Jalal-Abad region.
