From January 13 to 18, the boxing hall "Zdorovye" in the city of Kara-Balta hosted the Chui region championship for young boxers born in 2010-2011.
207 young athletes from all over the Chui region participated in this tournament.
According to the results of the competitions, among the winners from Kara-Balta are:
- Amirkhan Kurmanbekov — weight category 80 kg
- Salim Odabashov — weight category 80 kg.
Both athletes train under the guidance of Ruslan Baisariev. They will represent their region at the republican championship, which will take place from January 26 to 31 in Bishkek.
Also from Kara-Balta, the following athletes will compete at the republican championship:
- Mamataeva Farzona (48 kg)
- Abdyssalamova Sezim (52 kg)
- Damirbekova Zhibek (54 kg).
All of them are students of coach R. Baisariev.
