Two students from the Jayil district also participated in the tournament. Anna Palatova, a 5th-grade student from the Christian school in the city of Kara-Balta, took second place. Her peer, Bakai Madaliev, a 6th-grade student from secondary school No. 8 in Kara-Balta, secured the 14th position. The training of the young chess players is conducted by coach Ernst Zhakypov.
All winners and prize holders were awarded commemorative medals and diplomas, which were presented by the Karakol City Children's and Youth Sports School.
