The Road Traffic Service noted that despite regular explanatory activities with local residents, instances of illegal fuel sales continue to be identified both along the Bishkek – Kara-Balta highway and on internal streets. During a raid conducted on January 12, eight reports were drawn up, and each violator was fined 3,000 soms.
Additionally, the traffic police warned that raids to identify cases of illegal fuel sales will continue. In the event of such violations, measures will be taken in accordance with Article 179, Part 1 of the Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, which concerns the use of roadside areas for trade without coordination with the authorized bodies, which also entails fines.
