Kutmanbiy Muratov won bronze at the Youth World Cup in Montenegro

Kyrgyz boxer Kutmanbiy Muratov won third place at the Youth World Boxing Cup held in Montenegro.

The competition, titled "Pearl of the Adriatic," began on March 4 in the city of Budva and gathered participants no older than 19 years.

Muratov competed in the weight category up to 70 kg, where there were 14 boxers at the start.

He began his journey in the 1/8 finals, where he achieved victories over opponents from Ukraine and Kazakhstan, thus advancing to the semifinals.

On March 9, in the semifinal match, Kutmanbiy lost to a boxer from Azerbaijan.

As a result of the tournament, he takes the third position and receives a bronze medal.

In the category up to 60 kg, Umar Oruzbai also performed well and advanced to the final, which will take place on March 11.
