Mongolian female boxers won bronze medals at the international tournament

“At the 77th international tournament 'Strandja Cup', held in Sofia, the Mongolian boxing team showed excellent results,” reports MiddleAsianNews.

At this tournament, athletes from Mongolia won three bronze medals.

In the men's category up to 55 kg, Bilguunsaihan Kharkhuu reached the semifinals, winning against opponents from Kazakhstan, Ukraine, and Georgia, but lost in the decisive match to American Lorenzo Patricio, which earned him a bronze medal.


As for the women's competitions, Nomundar Enkh-Amgalan (48 kg) and Namuun Monhor (60 kg) also won bronze medals, losing in the semifinals.


Nomundar finished her performances at the tournament with a bronze medal, losing in the semifinals to Ukrainian Okhota Hanna, the silver medalist of the 2018 World Championship.


Namuun, on the other hand, suffered a defeat against Brazilian Rebeca Santos, the reigning world champion, also by unanimous decision of the judges.
