During the Soviet era, the football club "Alga" went on a tour, during which several matches were held against African clubs.
Additionally, one of the teams from Nigeria visited Kyrgyzstan for a series of friendly matches with local clubs.
According to FIFA, the Kyrgyzstan national team ranks 103rd in the world ranking, while Equatorial Guinea is in 107th place.
