These digital avatars will be used to enhance the accuracy of the semi-automatic offside detection system. Additionally, they will allow for the creation of detailed graphics to illustrate refereeing decisions, which will be broadcast to viewers in stadiums and on television in real-time.
The technology has already been successfully tested during the FIFA Intercontinental Cup, and it will be applied to all matches at the World Championship, ensuring a new level of transparency in officiating and enhancing the spectacle of sporting events.
