Tom Rose, representing the United States in Warsaw, announced the cessation of all contacts with Włodzimierz Czarzasty, the speaker of the Polish parliament. This decision was a result of "outrageous and completely unjustified insults" directed at President Trump, according to the diplomat, as reported by Polish Radio.

In his message on platform X, Rose emphasized that from this moment on, any interactions and communications with Speaker Czarzasty will be halted. He also noted that the U.S. does not intend to allow actions that could harm American-Polish relations or insult Trump.

This statement was responded to by Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk. He noted that allies should show mutual respect rather than "handing out lectures."

Previously, Czarzasty had expressed opposition to Trump's nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize, stating that the U.S. president does not deserve it. He also criticized some of Trump's initiatives in international security and his remarks about a possible annexation of Greenland, while emphasizing the underestimation of Europe's contribution to NATO's military actions in Afghanistan.

Poland continues to be one of the main U.S. allies in Europe, possessing one of the most significant military budgets among NATO countries and actively supporting Ukraine. At the same time, the authorities in Warsaw express skepticism about Trump's attempts to reach a peace agreement with Moscow.
