The Iranian Foreign Ministry has confirmed reports of injuries to the new Supreme Leader of the country, Mojtaba Khamenei. The ministry also added that he is feeling fine.

According to Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei, in an interview with Corriere della Sera, there is currently no information on when Khamenei Jr. will be able to address the public. He also noted that "several candidates were considered for the role of the new Supreme Leader, but the majority of the Assembly of Experts chose him."

At the same time, information published by The New York Times, citing sources, stated that Mojtaba Khamenei was injured on February 28, the day the U.S. and Israel began attacks on Iran. These circumstances explained his absence from the public sphere and raised security concerns. However, sources claimed that the Supreme Leader is conscious and in stable condition. Shortly after this, the son and advisor to the President of Iran, Yousef Pezeshkian, confirmed that Khamenei is feeling well.

Later, Reuters reported that according to its sources, the Supreme Leader of Iran sustained a minor injury but continues to carry out his duties. It is believed that the injuries pertain to his leg. According to CNN, it is possible that he suffered a leg fracture.
