
According to information from MiddleAsianNews, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, Batzetsgeg, participated in the Second World Summit on Nuclear Energy, which took place in Boulogne-Billancourt on March 10, 2026.

This event was organized by France in collaboration with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and gathered representatives from governments, industry, academia, and NGOs to discuss key issues related to nuclear energy. Among the topics raised at the meeting were the impact of nuclear energy on climate change, financing energy initiatives, safety, advanced technologies, and industry standards. Participants also considered the possibility of harmonizing international standards and exchanging inspection systems.
At the summit held on March 10, the French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Jean-Noël Barrot, met with Batzetsgeg Batmunkh, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia. This was reported on the official website of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During the meeting, the ministers discussed the development of bilateral relations that strengthen the sovereignty of both nations, particularly in areas such as energy, transportation, and civil protection. They also talked about the upcoming signing of an agreement that would allow France to actively support priority areas of cooperation with Mongolia.

Both ministers expressed their determination to continue supporting sustainable development, especially in light of the upcoming 17th Conference of the Parties to the Convention to Combat Desertification (COP17), which will take place in Ulaanbaatar from August 17 to 28, 2026. They also discussed Mongolia's participation in the upcoming "One Health" summit to be held in Lyon.
Mongolia participated in the meeting by signing the Declaration "Affordable and Safe Nuclear Energy for All" and the Joint Statement on Financing Nuclear Energy.
