Upon arriving at the scene, law enforcement officers noticed broken glass, but instead of a robber, they found a deer that was panicking, jumping over tables and trying to break through barriers.
The police were able to lead the deer out of the bank without much difficulty, with five officers participating in the operation.
Suffolk County Police Commissioner Kevin Catalina joked about the incident in an interview with The New York Post, noting that "the deer was not charged and will be able to delight us with its visit to another bank in the future."
