The Minister of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic, Damir Osmonov, visited the Kyrgyz-Turkish Friendship Hospital named after Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. During the visit, he got acquainted with the organization of medical assistance, as well as the work of various clinical departments and the development of advanced technologies in treatment. This information was provided by the press service of the Ministry of Health.
During the visit, representatives of the ministry received information about the institution's operations, including the electronic medical data management system implemented in the hospital. This system ensures the maintenance of medical documentation, accounting for prescriptions and medications, as well as the coordination of the treatment process, allowing doctors to quickly access up-to-date information about patients.
The minister also inspected several clinical departments, such as the cardiology service and the angiographic operating room, where modern diagnostic and therapeutic procedures are performed.
Particular attention was paid to the organ transplantation program. It was reported that since 2023, the hospital has been implementing a kidney transplantation program with the participation of Turkish specialists. During this period, patient selection was conducted, and practical implementation of surgeries began. To date, 16 patients have successfully undergone kidney transplantation procedures.
The institution continues to prepare patients for subsequent surgeries. Currently, a group is being formed that is undergoing the necessary medical examinations and preparatory procedures before transplantation. After the surgeries, patients are provided with medical monitoring and rehabilitation.
During the meeting, the prospects for the development of the transplantation service, as well as issues related to patient selection and planning of future surgeries, were also discussed.
