Kyrgyzstan is showing impressive results in attracting foreign direct investment from countries within the Eurasian region, which includes the CIS, Georgia, Mongolia, and Ukraine.
From the beginning of 2024 to mid-2025, accumulated investments from these countries increased by 21%, while the average for the region was only 6.2%.
The total volume of investments from Eurasian countries in the Kyrgyz economy, $ billion:
- In absolute terms, the volume of FDI reached $2.4 billion.
- The most significant contributions to this growth came from Russia ($300 million) and Uzbekistan ($120 million).
- The main sectors contributing to this growth were electricity (+$210 million) and manufacturing (+$95 million).
