The total income of Turkey in 2025 amounted to 65 billion 231 million dollars
At a press conference in Istanbul, Turkey's Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy presented impressive results for the country's tourism sector in 2025, noting that the figures reached a historical record.
According to the data presented, last year Turkey was visited by 64 million foreign tourists, contributing to a record income for the tourism sector of 65 billion 231 million US dollars.
Ersoy noted that Turkey is confidently strengthening its position on the international tourism stage. In 2017, the country was in lower positions, but today it ranks among the leading tourist destinations in the world. The strategic goal for 2026 is to achieve 68 billion US dollars in tourism revenue.
It was also emphasized that tourism in Turkey is expanding its horizons beyond traditional formats of "sea, sun, beach." There is active development of cultural and religious tourism, ecological and nature tourism, archaeological routes, medical and thermal tourism, gastronomy, congress and exhibition activities, as well as cruise and winter tourism.
Initiatives such as the "Heritage for the Future" projects and "Night Museums" have become bright examples of successful preservation and promotion of cultural heritage on the international stage.
There is also positive dynamics in the Kyrgyzstan market.
In 2025, the number of Kyrgyz citizens visiting Turkey increased by 8% compared to 2024, reaching 199,280 people. This confirms the steady interest of Kyrgyz citizens in Turkey as one of the most attractive tourist destinations.
