On February 6, $109.95 million was sold on the interbank market, of which $65.5 million was sold in same-day settlement transactions, while the remaining $44.45 million was settled at a later date.
Since the beginning of the year, the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic has sold a total of $244 million, of which $134.05 million was sold in the first intervention.
In the past year, the National Bank conducted eight interventions, with a total amount of $853 million.
The goal of the currency interventions is to smooth out sharp fluctuations in the exchange rate.
