In Batken, the opening of a new asphalt concrete plant took place, which is capable of producing 35 tons of asphalt per hour, and 43 units of road machinery were also handed over.

The opening ceremony, held on February 11, attracted the attention of high-ranking guests, including the First Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications Beknazar Bazaraliyev and the Ambassador of Japan to Kyrgyzstan Hirano Ryuichi, as well as representatives of local authorities and road builders.

This asphalt concrete plant is the third in the Batken region. As part of the opening, machinery necessary for the construction and maintenance of roads was also handed over, including new types of equipment that had not been previously used in the region.

Event participants noted that last year, 40.5 kilometers of new roads were built in the Batken region, and asphalt was laid on 83.313 kilometers. The First Deputy Minister reported that in 2023, the construction of more than 50 kilometers of roads is expected.
