As part of this project, an efficient irrigation system will be created, which will provide reliable watering for the villages of Sögöt and Kara-Töbö, helping to solve the long-standing problem of water scarcity in the region.
The initiative to implement the project arose after the appeal of delegates at the III People's Kurultai. In response to the requests of local residents, necessary financial resources were allocated from the republican budget. Construction, which started in 2025, is being carried out strictly according to the established schedule.
The project includes the construction of a water supply main made of pipes of various diameters (350–250 mm) with a total length of 16 kilometers. Specialists plan to complete the construction of the irrigation section "Kashka-Suu" by May 2026, so that the system can begin functioning in the current irrigation season.
After the implementation of the system, more than 500 hectares of agricultural land will have guaranteed access to irrigation water. The district water management office notes that this will not only increase the yield of agricultural crops and the income of local farmers but will also be a significant step towards the socio-economic development of the Aksy District as a whole.
