Armenia is preparing for a massive influx of investments from the United States, which could exceed $13 billion, accounting for nearly half of its annual gross domestic product. This was reported by Bloomberg.

Such financial inflows could significantly reduce the country's dependence on the Russian economy.

This process was initiated by the visit of U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance to Yerevan. As a result of the negotiations, an agreement on cooperation in the field of civil nuclear energy was signed for up to $9 billion. There is also a possibility of expanding the artificial intelligence project by an additional $4 billion.

Dmitry Dolgin, the chief economist at ING for the CIS, noted that such initiatives could significantly enhance Armenia's investment attractiveness for both direct and portfolio investments, as well as increase the volume of remittances to the country.
