Officials and the World Bank Discussed Investor Rights Protection in Kyrgyzstan

At a meeting held between Ravshanbek Sabirov, the head of the National Investment Agency, and Hugh Riddell, a representative of the World Bank, important aspects of reforming investment regulation in Kyrgyzstan were discussed.

According to the agency's press service, the main focus was on joint priorities, including the creation of a modern legal framework for investments and mechanisms for protecting investors' rights. Issues related to enhancing the stability and predictability of regulation, implementing international practices in the investment climate, and developing state support tools, such as stabilization and incentive measures, were also discussed.

During the negotiations, topics such as optimizing investor interaction with government bodies, reducing administrative barriers, and aligning the regulatory framework with the goals of state investment policy and international standards, including World Bank recommendations, were addressed.

Ravshanbek Sabirov emphasized the importance of expert and consultative assistance from the World Bank in the process of reforming investment-related legislation.
