During the period under review, Oman's investment portfolio has grown 4.5 times, indicating a stable and consistent growth of Omani capital in this area.
As noted by the EDB:
- The majority of Oman's investments in Central Asia are directed towards the raw materials sector, including oil extraction and metal ores, as well as transportation and logistics infrastructure, particularly related to the export and transshipment of grain.
- Additionally, a significant share is allocated to financing projects in commercial real estate, logistics, industrial production, financial services, and scientific-educational infrastructure.
- Funding is primarily provided by Oman's sovereign wealth funds and the investors' own capital, with borrowed financing sometimes being attracted.
