In Kyrgyzstan, the fifth anniversary season of the program "Women in Business" has officially launched, aimed at supporting women's entrepreneurship. This large-scale project, implemented in collaboration with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and FINCA Bank, is designed to enhance the influence of women leaders on the country's economy.
The current season is specifically for clients of FINCA Bank who already manage their own businesses, as well as for women entrepreneurs with at least two years of experience in small and medium-sized enterprises. Over the course of the seven-month program, participants will have the opportunity to work under the guidance of experienced mentors who will share their expertise and knowledge for the development of their companies free of charge. The program includes training sessions, cross-mentoring sessions, business breakfasts, and excursions to leading manufacturing enterprises in the country.
Since the program's inception, significant success has been achieved: participants have created over 320 new jobs. As a result of the previous season, 66% of women entrepreneurs reported an increase in profits, and 60% were able to enter new markets. The application process for those wishing to become mentors and participants will last until March 2, 2026. Participation in the program is free thanks to the support of international donors, including the government of Switzerland and the We-Fi fund.
