

At the meeting, led by Bakyt Torobaev, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Food Processing Industry, organizational aspects of the upcoming agricultural census were discussed. The information was provided by the press service of the Cabinet.
During the meeting, Baktybek Kudaybergenov, Chairman of the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan, noted that the census will be conducted exclusively in electronic format, excluding the use of paper media.
Data will be collected using a mobile application on enumerators' devices, and the information will be transmitted to the central server of the National Statistics Committee via secure channels, ensuring confidentiality and speed of data processing.According to the government's decision, the census will take place from March 20 to April 10, 2026.
The meeting also presented the results of preliminary work:
- Census forms and key indicators have been agreed upon with the relevant agencies and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO);
- Four census forms, instructions for staff, and a detailed calendar plan have been developed and approved;
- A pilot census was successfully conducted in 2024, which allowed for improvements in software and methodology;
- In 2025-2026, a multi-level training program for personnel was organized (both in-person and online), resulting in over 200 specialists enhancing their qualifications.

Bakyt Torobaev also emphasized that local authorities and self-government bodies are responsible for the timely organization and logistics of conducting the census on the ground.
