The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2026), which will take place from June 3 to 6 in St. Petersburg, will serve as a platform for discussing the expansion of trade and economic cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Russia. This was reported by the Roscongress Foundation.
According to preliminary data, by the end of 2025, the volume of mutual trade between the countries is expected to exceed 3.1 billion dollars, indicating stable growth. Experts believe that in the coming years, the volume of bilateral trade turnover could reach 5 billion dollars.
Kyrgyzstan's participation in SPIEF-2026 is seen as an important step towards strengthening economic ties and expanding mutually beneficial cooperation with Russia.
In 2026, the Kyrgyz delegation plans to actively participate in the business program of the forum, including business dialogues and meetings with Russian regions and companies. Special attention will be paid to investment interaction, the creation of joint production facilities, the development of transport corridors, and strengthening financial mechanisms to support business.
SPIEF annually gathers leaders of states, businessmen, and experts from many countries. The main topics of the forum cover global and regional economic processes, market transformations, new technologies, investment climate, and financial policy. The uniqueness of this event lies in its practical significance: decisions are made here, large-scale innovative projects are launched, and real investment agreements are signed, while experts share experiences and strategic initiatives.
The Roscongress Foundation, the largest operator of international congress and exhibition events, traditionally organizes SPIEF. The foundation's international activities are carried out through the Roscongress International platform, which is responsible for developing partnerships with foreign states, business associations, and development institutions, ensuring the promotion of joint projects.
