The National Electric Network of Kyrgyzstan (NESC) has launched a tender for the purchase of gas-insulated switchgear designed for operation at voltages of 110 and 220 kilovolts. The total cost of the procurement will amount to 112 million soms.

The company emphasized that these devices are necessary to enhance the reliability of high-voltage substations, as well as to strengthen the resilience of the energy system to potential emergency outages. Modernization of key nodes in the trunk networks is underway.

Gas-insulated switchgear is used at high-voltage substations, providing quick and safe disconnection in the event of a short circuit.

The tender will be conducted without restrictions, and proposals are accepted until March 2, 2026.

NESC plans to purchase 46 sets of these switches.
