The complex of measures to enhance the reliability of electrical equipment is being implemented by the Bishkek Electric Networks Enterprise. Its tasks include not only repair and maintenance but also the construction and reconstruction of power transmission lines, as reported by the enterprise itself.
This year, a new high-voltage substation "Muras" with a voltage of 110/10 kilovolts has been built in Bishkek and is already in operation.
This modern equipment includes: • a power transformer with a capacity of 40,000 kilovolt-amperes; • gas-insulated switchgear at 110 kilovolts; • disconnectors at 110 kilovolts; • a complete outdoor switchgear for 10 kilovolts (KRU).
During the 12 months of 2025, a major overhaul was carried out, which affected:
* equipment at 6 substations with a voltage of 220-110/35 kilovolts; * 336 transformer substations (TP) of 6–10/0.4 kilovolts; * 26.7 kilometers of power transmission lines (PTL) of 220-110/35 kilovolts; * 148 kilometers of power transmission lines of 10–0.4 kilovolts;
In addition, current repairs were performed, covering: * equipment at 47 substations with a voltage of 220-110/35 kilovolts; * 1,917 transformer substations (TP) of 6–10/0.4 kilovolts; * 560 kilometers of power transmission lines (PTL) of 220-110/35 kilovolts; * 2,175 kilometers of power transmission lines of 10–0.4 kilovolts; * 891 kilometers of cable power transmission lines of 10–0.4 kilovolts.
As part of the reconstruction and capital construction program, the following was accomplished over 12 months: • installation of 2,850 smart meters; • replacement of 87 kilometers of power transmission lines with SIP-2 wires; * 31 kilometers of cable lines were replaced with modern cross-linked polyethylene cables; * laying of 32 kilometers of PTL using SIP-3 wires; * laying of about 6 kilometers of cable lines; * increasing the capacity of 33 transformer substations.
