Deputy Chairman of the State Insurance Organization, Baktygul Abdyzhaliev, provided the following data:
- In 2024, 240 insurance cases were registered, with a total payout amounting to 37 million soms;
- In 2025, the number of insurance cases increased to 247, and payouts amounted to 32 million soms;
- In 2026 (to date), 37 insurance cases have been registered with payouts totaling 10 million soms.
Deputies noted that the volume of payouts remains relatively small compared to the number of insured objects and the existing risks of natural disasters in the country.
In this regard, it was proposed to intensify awareness-raising work with the population and increase coverage of mandatory insurance, especially in rural areas and seismic hazard zones.
This issue was raised in the context of discussing the draft Law "On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of the Kyrgyz Republic (to the Civil Code, Law on Mandatory Insurance of Residential Premises Against Fire and Natural Disasters)," which was presented for its first reading.
