At an official ceremony held in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan and South Korea approved cooperation within the framework of a large-scale digital transformation of the agricultural sector and rural areas of the country. The signed document will serve as the foundation for the implementation of advanced technologies in the management of land and water resources.
The parties intend to focus on modernizing irrigation systems and implementing "smart village" projects, which imply the creation of modern technological infrastructure in the regions. This cooperation with KRC fully aligns with the goals of the National Development Program of Kyrgyzstan until 2026.
The signed agreement will serve as a mechanism for attracting investments and obtaining Official Development Assistance (ODA) from the Republic of Korea. The application of Korean experience is expected to enhance the efficiency of agriculture and improve living conditions in rural areas through automation and innovative management approaches.
