Modernizing irrigation and building 'smart villages' in Kyrgyzstan will be supported by Korea
A memorandum of understanding was signed at the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of Kyrgyzstan with the Korean Rural Community Development Corporation (KRC). This agreement aims to attract Korean technologies and investments into the country's agricultural sector, as reported by the ministry's press service.

As part of this cooperation, special attention will be given to the implementation of modern Korean developments related to the management of water and land resources in Kyrgyzstan.

It is planned to modernize existing irrigation systems, develop infrastructure in various regions of the country, and implement projects to create "smart villages" using advanced technologies.

This agreement creates a legal framework for attracting foreign investments and financing under the Official Development Assistance (ODA) program. The partnership aligns with the goals of the National Development Program of Kyrgyzstan until 2026, which focuses on the digitalization and technological renewal of agriculture, as stated in the announcement.
