According to the ministry, by 2025, the total number of "smart" meters will exceed 923,000.
In June 2025, a preliminary market assessment was conducted, and in July, an international tender was launched for the supply of 300,000 ASCUE meters. After the technical proposals were opened in September, the tender commission completed their evaluation. The report on the evaluation results was sent to the World Bank, and after its approval, a decision was made to purchase an additional 300,000 meters using the saved funds.
