According to the State Committee for National Security (GKNB), “U.B.” received funds in exchange for promising to carry out all necessary procedures for allocating four plots of land, each 7 hundredths, in the Bash-Debe rural administration of the Uzgen district. Later, he requested an additional 200,000 soms, which were presented as payment for document processing and land registration.
However, it is reported that “U.B.” was unable to complete his criminal activities due to the start of an active fight against corruption in the country and the intensified work of the GKNB in this area.
As a result, he was unable to transfer the plots to the private ownership of “M.D.”, and the 2.2 million soms received were used for personal needs.
On February 4, 2026, “U.B.” was charged under part 4 of Article 209 (fraud using official position) of the Criminal Code of Kyrgyzstan, and he was taken into custody.
The investigation is ongoing, and measures are being taken to identify other possible participants and similar cases.
