Syrgak Berdikozhoev, head of the State Guard Service, reported that Kamchybek Tashiev is under protection:
Government agencies are taking into account the concerns of citizens expressed on social media regarding Tashiev's safety. President Sadyr Japarov has already given the appropriate instructions.
Tashiev was previously under protection, and his security measures will continue in accordance with established rules.
Recall that on February 10, Kamchybek Tashiev was relieved of his position in the GKNB.
After his dismissal, an acting head of the GKNB was appointed, and three of his deputies also lost their positions. The Border Service is now functioning as an independent agency, not subordinate to the GKNB. At the same time, the Secretary of the Security Council was replaced, who was returned to his previous position as the first deputy chairman of the GKNB.
A decision was also made for the ninth service of the state guard to be directly subordinate to the president.
