Illegal alcohol production discovered in Bishkek

As a result of the inspection, it was found that the production processes were carried out without the necessary licenses and permits, as well as without the payment of excise tax and without the application of excise stamps on the products.

The materials related to these violations were forwarded to law enforcement agencies for further legal consideration.

Additionally, in the village of Lenin, located in the Alamudun district of the Chui region, a workshop producing the low-alcohol drink "Makgeolli" was also discovered. In this case, production was also conducted without the proper permitting documents and licenses, which also led to the drafting of reports and the imposition of administrative fines.

It should be noted that a fine of 100,000 soms is imposed for the sale of up to 200 units of excise goods without excise stamps. For the sale of more than 200 units, criminal liability may apply, up to imprisonment for a term of up to 7 years.

The State Tax Service urges entrepreneurs to avoid trading in excise goods without excise stamps and to pay attention to verifying their authenticity.

In order to protect public health, authorities strongly recommend that citizens pay attention to the presence of excise stamps on alcoholic products and report any suspicious goods to the tax authorities. The authenticity of the excise stamp can be verified using the "Salyk" mobile application, which includes functionality for scanning and manually entering information.
