This information was announced on February 18 at a board meeting dedicated to the socio-economic development of the Chui region until 2026 by the First Deputy Plenipotentiary Representative of the President in the region, Sanjar Zhantaev.
He noted that this year a special program called "Chui-Investment" will be implemented to address this issue.
Zhantaev also added that two small hydropower plants and one solar power plant with a total capacity of 105.7 MW have already been put into operation. In addition, the construction of six more small hydropower plants is currently ongoing.
"For the construction of small hydropower plants and solar panels using renewable energy sources, 1,283 hectares of land have been allocated in areas such as Panfilov, Kemin, Alamudun, Sokuluk, Moscow, Issyk-Ata, Chui, and Jayil in the 'Green Energy' fund," he reported.
