- The export of used catalysts, as well as slags, ashes, and residues of precious metals contained in these catalysts, is temporarily restricted. This decree was signed by the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Adylbek Kasymaliev.

The main goal of this ban is to protect human health and safeguard the environment, as well as to prevent air pollution from vehicle emissions.

As noted in the statement, a catalyst is one of the most expensive components of a vehicle's exhaust system, with its cost accounting for up to 13% of the total price of the vehicle. As a result, there have been cases of theft and voluntary removal of catalysts from vehicles in the market, driven by the desire to make significant profits from their resale.
